"Friends" become a public charity effective April 14, 2008 with the purpose of providing for the unmet needs of the children in foster tthe foster families with the necessary support that make their lives safer and healthier.

"Friends" is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt, non-profit organization. We are a member of  Missouri State Employee Chariable Campaign and subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights devoloped by the American Association of Fundraising Council adopted in 1993.

"Friends" support the DSS staff of the 40th Judicial Circuit (Newton and McDonald Counties) by providing limited, special assistance funds to eligible DSS clients. Friends helps children and families at risk or in crisis be receiving and dispersing limited financial and material donations. We provid volunteer aid to the DSS staff and an easily accessible emergency fund.
